What is a Birth Doula?
A birth doula is a professional trained in supportive childbirth techniques. We provide emotional, physical, and educational support during pregnancy, birth and the immediate postpartum period. We are advocates, not medical professionals, that support you and your family at every stage of the birthing process. A doulas purpose is to help women have a safe, memorable, and an empowering birthing experience.

Alana and Blake were my very first clients, they are also patients of ours from Western OB/GYN.
"It was a beautiful birth and we all got very close."
- Alana Pauman
Alissa is a patient of ours at Western OB/GYN and she asked if I could run over to the hospital during her birth. I was working that day but I ran over on my lunch break and did some pelvic squeeze for her, for about 30 minutes and taught her hubby how to do it. She was in very active labor.
After her daughter Hadley was born, she sent me a text that I will never forget.
"Again words can't describe what you did for me the last few weeks of my pregnancy and yesterday. You are wonderful Amy! There is a reason we met and we're placed in each other's lives at the time we were!!" (heart emogi)

She also sent me another text the next day stating "I love that you were a part of Hadley's birth story. My labor and delivery would/ve been so different without you. If I could have kept you there the whole time I would have!!"
